PATH variable resetting after reboot

I've been having some strange behavior from Slackware lately. My PATH variable keeps resetting to its default value.

Something similar has happened to my kde apps (Dolphin & Konqueror) where all my application associations disappear forcing me to navigate to /usr/bin to find the correct program when opening a file. Reassigning the application association does not work. Note that I do not use kde but fluxbox instead.

I noticed both of these issues around the same time.

As far as PATH variable goes, check your .bashrc in your home directory and edit the PATH variable as needed. There may also be a kde path variable there you can set to solve the other problem.

If your ~/.profile does not source ~/.bashrc (maybe via the . command) then you need to set PATH in ~/.profile

Thanks for the reply. So I've solved the PATH issue. The problem was my .bashrc file. As for my KDE problem I've been at a lost. I have yet to find any answer through my searching. KDE is a big project, so I'm not sure how to approach this.
