patching kernel


when patching 2.6.16.1 to 2.6.16.2 and higher
i got many messages about already patched files

is it all right?, what shoud i do...?

back when i was using 2.4.x patching kernel always run
smoothly without any information/warning or even error messages

i wonder if this happen to other people too...

wait a minute, i found something...

do i need to reverse patch my 2.6.16.1 to 2.6.16 and then from there i
patch it with newer version (lets say 2.6.16.18)?
