partition full?

Hi, I am using Mandrake 7.2 and have a full partition that is making the mail server unusable. When I do a df -k I get:
/dev/hda1 100% used and mounted on /
/dev/hda6/ 0% used and mounted on /home

I have tried deleting big files I no longer need, moving files to /home, but the / partition never changes from 100% used. I am thinking that maybe I have some other problem that I'm not aware of, since I'm relatively new to building my own network.

Even just a point in the right direction would be helpful.
Thanks,

-Sage

Check the size of your logs under /var. They can be managed so as to keep them at a relatively small size.
