Question out of space on hd - how do I make more?

I have run out of space on one of my harddrives and need to make more - is there a linux program similar to partition magic that does this? Is there any other way?
Total newbie so please make answers basic! LOL

Are you talking about your whole hard drive or just one partition? More details get better responses.

not really. need to know how big your harddrive is. Do
fdisk -l /dev/hda

it will tell you how big the hd is and how big each partition is.

Well you have space on your second hard drive. But really you could try clearing out any temp files in /tmp and clearing out some of your log files in /var/log that are taking up space first.

Then I would suggest creating another partition or several depending on how much space you have on the second hard drive, /dev/hdb, and maybe move like /usr or create two partitions for /tmp and /var, or something along those lines.

the output of fdisk should have given you the total size of the disk on the first line. If that looks to be more than what the partitions add up to, then it's not that hard. Add a few partitions and do what trickykid suggested. Your swap partition seems to be about 1Gig. Do you really need that much? - most people don't so maybe you could cut that down as well.
