who knows oracle on Linux?

I installed oracle8i on RH, but doesn't work.

How to install form developer 6i?

After painful installation, oracle doesn't work at all. When I type dbassist, following msg appears:
libnldapj8.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (libnldapj8.so)
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no nldapj8 in shared library path
at java.lang.Error. (Compiled Code)

I might be able tohelp you on installation of 8i. What exactly do you mean it doesn't work? Have you followed everything the pre-installation instructions? Some of those pre-installation instruction can be confusing, so did you do all that it required?
