openoffice localisation in arabic--some default flaws

I am working on arabic localisation of openoffice. I have done about 75% of localisation. Taking en_US.sdf as base, I have made a GSI_ar.sdf file and then it is used for the entire localisation process. Some confusion persists in localisation. Even when the word is translated to Arabic, I cannot view it in Arabic. i mean, its not translated. Thats the issue. I have already translated every occurence ,still the same problem.

Anybody has any idea why this happens?

For a specialized problem such as this, the forums might be a better resource.

Are you the only one working on this? Does one register with OOo to work a project such as this?
