openldap windows AD integration

Hi - is there any good doco out there with step-by-step instructions to get linux (RHEL5) to authenticate using Windows AD, and mapping AD users to unix usernames / groups, like a samba usermap file, but for ssh authentication? Should I be using the Windows DC as a Kerberos KDC? How can I map the user accounts? Can I use openLDAP?
Appreciate any help anyone can give me.
