Opening ms word .doc...?

Im trying to download and open an m$word.doc. Is there an open source util that I could get that would do the trick? It doesn't look like emacs or vi wants to help out. Thanks.

Abiword can usually read .doc files too, but it can't save files as .doc like Openoffice.org can.
