One More Quick Question Regarding MPlayer

I'm trying to play an MPEG, and this is the error I'm getting:

Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.

How do I solve this problem? It would be really great if you could help out once more.

What is the selected video out device? It should be hidden somewhere in all the garbage the mplayer prints out. In order to change the video out device, use the option '-vo video_out_device'. To see a list of video out devices, type 'mplayer -vo help'

It's not letting me change it. What exactly are you supposed to type to change it?

It's working good now. I changed it in Preferences. Thanks a lot. If I have more problems, I'll post them in this thread.

This is getting annoying. The output device I selected is only working for MPEGs. It won't work for AVIs. Bugger.
