Onboard sound not working on Asus P4C800-E

Hi, i'm running Fedora Core 1 with kernel 2.6, and i cannot get the sound to work, i am using an Asus P4C800-E. I am trying to usee the onboard sound, and whenever login a get a nmessage theat /dev/dsp can't be found. Has anyone beenn able to get this mobo's sound to work, and if so what should i do.
