I am looking for the ability to open a new xterm in windows, the same way I do in fluxbox, gnome, etc... This xterm would hopefully open, already rsh/ssh'd into a host of my designation.
Are there any programs that allow this? I currently use vnc to connect to RHEL3/4/5 hosts, but I would much prefer to not use vnc or a linux desktop at all. Putty does work, but I have to login every time I open a new window.
Thanks for teh reply quakeboy02, but that isn't quite what I'm looking for.
I basically want a tool exactly like putty, but which allows me to open new sessions/terminals/consoles/windows on the fly without having to enter any credentials.
I have tried screen... but I always get lost haha. Unless there is some amazing 'ssh manager' for windows -> linux, I'll just keep my vnc open for terminals. I may be the only linux sys admin who loathes a linux GUI :-/. I can never seem to get the perfect environment for myself...

I don't use Windows, and it's been a little while since I've touched PuTTY, but I think you could accomplish what you want with PuTTY. PuTTY has command-line options that you could use to launch putty directly into a remote session:
The idea would be to create, say, a Windows desktop shortcut that executes this command with all the correct command-line options, including username, hostname, and password. (Though, it is better to use public key authentication rather than the password if you are willing to learn how to set it up.)
Yeah, Putty does allow you to call it via cmd lines so it logs straight in. My recommendation is to store them in http://keepass.info/. Just log into Keepass at the start of the day, then you can just double click on the system you want. You have to have a matching entry in Putty, Keepass just manages the info eg system/user/passwd; Putty provides the ssh (or telnet) session.
I've used that combo at a large business where I needed to 'remember' a lot(!) of logins. Worked a treat.
