old computer + linux (again)

I know this question gets asked a lot, but I have this old computer:

... and I am looking for an operating system to put on it. I vaguely remember hearing about OSs based on the Linux kernel that run on CPUs under 486 class, and I was wondering if there was one that would work on this thing (a 286). Does anyone have any links handy?

Are there any BSD or minix-like OSs that may work otherwise?
