Ohoo my boot loader


Guys

I am in trouble. I remove my hard disk from my normal machine to another machine. After I copy some files form it and replace disk to the original marchine.

Now it takes few minute to getting to the GRUB Prompt . DOS booting is O.K and win2000 running perfectly , but Red-Hat not booting and it is restarting.

Somebody help me............... am I going to loose everything???????

You can use the 1st CD to boot to recovery mode. Your root partition should be mounted at /mnt/sysimage.

So what files did you copy? All you get is a grub prompt. No menu? Did you ever have a boot menu?

How can go to then recover mode from CD.

boot menu is O.K. It displaying the REDhat / DOS . Dos is O.K . I copy files from NTFS partion .

When you boot the 1st CD type in rescue at the prompt. There should also be a menu displaying different options.
