Odd problem when running apps.


Whenever I got to do something such as start Amarok or even open a browser or go into my home folder I get this error message.
Could not find mime type application/octet-stream and then the application runs its just really annoying. Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Thanks

KDE/GNOME :
what about opening a text file from a file manager (konquorer/nautilus) ?

I am running SuSe 10.0 KDE and the same thing happens when I open a text doc. in Konquerer
