I am running Mandrake 8.0 with a GeForce 2 GTS and i downloaded the GLX and Kernal from the nvidia site (i used to NVchooser.sh to get the currect ones) installed the like it said in the readme. Changed the XF86config-4 file and renamed the one with out the 4 to make sure it didn't find the wrong one. Made sure i was booting to text mode. typed "startx". BLANK SCREEN!!!! There is nothing of intrest in the XF86 log except it shows that it is using the "nvidia" drivers not the "nv" ones. I have changed the confige file back to NV so now i can get into X. PLEASE HELP

well, I recommend installing the drivers from source. get the tar.gz versions and compile and install them accordingly
