How can I enable numlock on Linux startup?

Frustin 08-21-2002 09:33 AM

1. edit /etc/rc.d/rc

2. Put the following lines into /etc/rc.d/rc
INITTY=/dev/tty[1-8]
for tty in $INITTY; do
setleds -D +num < $tty
done

3. Save & restart

Thanks very much Frustin!

Hei Frustin don't you know how to make this thing work in X-Windows?

nautilus_1987 08-27-2002 08:28 AM

People don't answer my last post, I have already figured out everything.
KDE > Control Center > Periherals > Keyboard > Advanced > Numlock > Turn On !

Where should I put this in the script? Or does it not matter where it goes?
