"not running Gnome compliant windows manager" and a rhetorical question.
So ever since I installed RedHat 7.1 with all the basic defaults, I get this error message when booting into X: "Warning you are not running a Gnome compliant windows manager etc etc." And I have all sorts of troubles with it such that I have to reboot and hope it doesn't happen again.
After struggling with this again and again (it doesn't happen upon EVERY bootup, but enough that it is very annoying), I go to the RH site and read up on window managers. This is what the site says (not verbatim):
"Enlightenment is currently the only 100% Gnome compliant window manager."
So I just installed Enlightenment and boom! everything is working fine. Here's the rhetorical question (although you're welcome to answer it if you have an insight on this subject):
WHY WOULD REDHAT HAVE SAWFISH AS THE DEFAULT WINDOW MANAGER IF IT IS NOT 100% GNOME COMPLIANT????????
