No keyboard with kernel 2.6

Hi,

I have installed Linux Mepis. It works fine with kernel 2.4 but when I boot with the 2.6 kernel the keyboard stops wiorking in the KDE desktop (I can't login) and also in the console.

Any help please ?

same problem, after i went back a selected the options for keyboard drivers it worked tho, its in the device-driver section ,,, i forget its exact spot tho.

is it usb or ps2? I have had some problems with usb keyboards. If it is usb look at the BOIS to see if there is a usb keyboard option
