No Framebuffer Console After 2.6.7 Compile

I just installed kernel 2.6.7 on my Slackware 10.0 and now I don't have my framebuffer console. I'm pretty sure that I enabled everything that it needs in the kernel config. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong here?

likely two causes:

a) You have not enabled all the stuff needed for framebuffer support.

b) if you use lilo, check if the vga= setting is general or defined only inside your older kernel entry.

bye.
