New to Ubuntu, Import Quicken to GnuCash
Ok, I have Ubuntu finally installed and running, and I'm 100% sold on Linux.
So now I'd like to import my 2008 Quicken data to GnuCash but it is not importing because my 2008 Quicken file extensions don't seem to match what GnuCash is looking for. What am I missing? Surely somebody has this exact same problem? |
Hi!
Here's what a basic Google search came up with, I think this might actually be relevant: http://www.gnucash.org/docs/v2.0/C/g...tml#import-qif |
Problem...
Quicken 2008 uses QDF files.
|
Ah, I see.
Some more Google searches turned up with this answer: ".QDF are the native quicked files. Quicken never stored it's file as .QIF natively. You have to export the file to .QIF." - Benoit Grégoire So you'll need to get back to Quicken, load the QDFs, and export to QIF. You can probably use Wine to run Quicken, if you don't have a Windows system anymore. |
