I recently had a problem with my motherboard. The AGP slot had gone bad, and I had to return it for repairs. Before this, Linux was running perfectly. Once I got it back, I tried to load the PC, and LILO gave me an error:
LILO - Keytable read/checksum error
All of that, plus I might have to get new CD drives, because when I try to boot from a CD, it gives me the same error. I'm lost on what to do from here.

If its giving the same type errors on a boot disc, I would assume your motherboard is not fixed. Have you checked your BIOS for any settings that might have been lost, etc? Can you boot with any other OS or cd besides Linux?
I really think that it's LILO. I got a completely new motherboard. It also did this with my older motherboard that I tried to set up while I was waiting for the replacement to get here. I think that LILO gets messed up when you change motherboards without a fresh install. And, even if I could get my CD-ROM drive to work, I would't know how to fix LILO.
