"netstat -apute" shows exim4

I checked the programs connected to network with the command:
Quote:

# netstat -apute
It showed exim4 to be LISTENing. I checked and found that it is a mail transfer agent application. I need to use the computer for office work and for browsing the internet. Do I really need exim4? How can I disable it. I am running Debian testing.
