need some troubleshooting tips

I've formated my external drive to FAT32 using Easeus. My external is 74 gig. I have installed Linux Ubuntu on it using pendrivelinux. When I go to boot my external it takes me to a blue Ubuntu screen I choose to run through usb then a black screen appears like its running when it reaches the bottom it stays I've let it set for a for min. to see if any changes take place none do.

I'm surprised it even installed on FAT32 - it doesn't support any of the permissions normally needed. Why did you choose that ?.
I'd suggest you re-install and do the partitioning as part of the install - use a native Linux filesystem, say ext4. Leave some free space to create a FAT32/NTFS partition if you need to share data with Windows.

Pendrive is really for installing on USB keys - so you can boot that to do an install. Better if you can just to burn a CD and use that. If you have a real (USB) hard disk, just do a normal install to the disk.
Tell us what you are trying to achieve, and what install media you have - CD, USB(key) ... ?
