Need some help - just tell me what those were

Hi all!

I was installing/uninstalling a ton of rpm-s today and accidentally did rm -rf on this directory:

/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

I tried to rebuild it but now none of plugins seem to work even though I use firefox. Is this like a shared directory?? Well if anyone could just tell me what the contents should be and what are type of the files...

Thanks!

i use firefox also... here's what mine looks like:
Code:
bash-3.00$ ls -l /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
total 1
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 54 2005-10-31 14:48 libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/lib/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
basically there's nothing there but a link to the java plugin... i'm not even sure firefox actually uses that directory, as the only plugin i use is Flash - half of it is in the firefox-specific plugins directory:
Code:
bash-3.00$ ls -l /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.7/plugins/
total 2048
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root 2096844 2005-09-30 18:05 libflashplayer.so
the other half is in the components directory:
Code:
bash-3.00$ ls -l /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.7/components | grep flash
-rw-r--r--  1 root root    856 2005-09-30 18:05 flashplayer.xpt
just my MY $0.02...

the contents of the plug ins are going to be plug ins that you or firefox installed. for example, java is merely a sym link inside the plugins dir

Here is what my machine has.

flashplayer.xpt <<== real file
libflashplayer.so <<== real file
libjavaplugin_oji.so <<== sym link
libnullplugin.so <<== real file

It is likely that you will have to rebuild the individual plugins for firefox.

hope this helps.
