      10 8 49 - spare /dev/sdd1
ok i tried to grow my array only to get a 3 hour power failure when I was at work and my PSU did not last,
sdi1 was the spare that I was ussing to grow the arrary
sdd1 was part of the arrary that was marked as failed, but by using
Code:
mdadm /dev/md0 -r /dev/sdd1 -a /dev/sdd1
I now have it as a spare, but I can not get my array to repair it self.

I try this
Code:
mdadm --assemble --run --force /dev/md0
mdadm: failed to RUN_ARRAY /dev/md0: Input/output error
mdadm: Not enough devices to start the array.
what do i do ??

I try to start the array from disk utlity but I get this error
Code:
Error assembling array: mdadm exited with exit code 1: mdadm: cannot open device /dev/sdd1: Device or resource busy
mdadm: /dev/sdd1 has no superblock - assembly aborted

Little ideas :

Try to cat /proc/mounts to see if it's not used.

Check size of each disks with cfdisk.
Check if the "Linux raid autodetect" flag is on.
