connectivity issue
be sure you haven't a firewall rule turned on preventing you from connecting - this is a common issue with a simple solution.

It sounds like DNS server IPs are not getting to your box. Try to ping a known static IP external to your network. I will supply one of google's:
64.233.161.104 Try to 'ping 64.233.161.104' If you get responses, you're connected to the internet, you just need to add DNS server entries to /etc/resolv.conf If not, the problem lies elsewhere. --Shade |
try to disable ur firewall and re-check ur routing table and other configuration file. make sure gateway is set proprely. shade is right, u should ping the ip directly instead of domain name to comfirm ur pc is connected to internet.
