Need Help On Mplayer And Xine


Hello

I have Fedora cOre 3 Installed

I have Installed all avaible rpms of mplayer Successfully but when i try to play any video file i get error

error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device

I have Amd Athlon 2000 XP+ on Asus with nvidia nforce2 chipset and nvidia gforce4 32 mb shared

The Problem In xine It Plays Some DVD But Fails To play encrypted DVDs files

Pls Help Me Out

mplayer -vo help

will give you a list of the available video output devices available for Mplayer. try some different video output devices available like:

mplayer -xv video_file.etc

mplayer -x11 video_file.etc

mplayer -sdl video_file.etc.

you get the idea...

Plus, make sure you have the needed codecs for the file type your attempting to play...
