Need help accessing other partitions

Hey, I'm a newb to Linux, got SUSE 9.2 cause i hate windows, but i need some help. I have a duel boot XP and Linux. I can only read and execute on my C drive. So first, how can i write also?

Next this is on a IBM T22 laptop, and i have a removable harddrive. But with my removable drive ony the root can see and execute on it. So, is there a way that i can have it so my user can see/use/write/and execute things on the drive?

Thanks, and remember I'm a newb, so don't give me complexe command line commands, i'm used to windows simple gui, though i am improving thnx.

Assuming you have a recent version of windos, (2000/xp) you will probably have an NTFS filesystem on the windows partition. Linux does not write to NTFS because there is a risk that files will get corrupted.

There is a module which allows writing to NTFS, but you might have to load that seperately.
