You should think about getting RedHat 7.1 or a newer dist. I know that RH7.1 has the necessary drivers for the i810 chipset. It will even auto-detect it and you don't really have to do anything. Very nice.

it says that the i810e is supported. check the documentation. there might be additional information there that may be of assistance to you. :) |

2D Video Adapter -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Driver Location: N/A -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: The i810e cards do not work correctly with the drivers included in Red Hat Linux 7. Beta drivers may be found at: http://support.intel.com/support/gra...inuxinstal.htm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status: Community Knowledge -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT IS THIS? I THOUGHT MY CARD WORKED WITH RED HAT 7.1! I HOPE I DID NOT WASTE MY MONEY. Does this not affect 7.1 because it is a later version? Thanks, and PLEASE respond! I'll go nuts! *****Colonel Panic***** |

I can't speak for Red Hat 7, but I have personally installed Red Hat 7.1 on several machines with the i810 chip set and it worked perfectly. I have got the i810 to work with RH 7 but it takes a lot more work to do it. Make sure you have 7.1!

Thanks for the insurance!
Thanks! do you know if the i810 and the i810e are the same? Thanks again!
