nautilus vd download managers...


i am using kde 3.0 ....I have tried to open nautilus in kde....The program starts but my backgound changed colour....and all the icons dissapear...
I can see some gnome icons!!!!
can i use the nautilus in kde without changing me desktop??

Do u know any download managers for suse 8.1?

nautilus is an integral part of gnome (and also crap and patronising). not possible. just use wget, it's so much less farting around with.

and please do not bump threads again.

In fact it is possible. To get out of that situation, do killall nautilus

Use "nautilus --no-desktop" to make it load but leave your desktop alone.

To use wget as a download manager, just type:

wget http://someurl/

and to resume, cd to the directory you were originally downloading to and use

wget -c http://someurl/
