I have nautilus and nautilus-open-terminal installed with LXDE desktop on debian-testing. On selecting open-terminal option, gnome-terminal would open but with no command prompt and I cannot do anything there. In any case, I am using lxterminal. So I opened dconf-editor and in org>gnome>desktop>applications>terminal, changed the exec to /usr/bin/lxterminal and exec-arg to blank. Now on selecting open-terminal, no terminal opens. If I start nautilus from command line, on selecting open-terminal, there is a message on commandline:
Code:
Usage:
lxterminal [Options...] - LXTerminal is a terminal emulator
Options:
-e, --command=STRING Execute the argument to this option inside the terminal
--geometry=COLUMNSxROWS Set the terminal's size
-l, --loginshell Execute login shell
-t, -T, --title=STRING Set the terminal's title
--working-directory=DIRECTORY Set the terminal's working directory
I have tried all options in exec-arg field of dconf-editor (--working-directory=%d, -l, -e) but of no use. How can I solve this problem?
Alternatively, if I can know why gnome-terminal opens without any command prompt, just a blank black screeen. This happens even if "gnome-terminal" command is given on another terminal to launch it.
Thanks for your help.
