In redhat 7.3 how would I go on and change my computers name?
Is there some command to do it or what files do I need to edit?
It is user@localhost atm which doesn't look nice.

yes that would do it. man hostname like mentioned before and as acid clarified gives more options and information regarding in changing your hostname on your system.
