Unhappy name-based virtual hosting and corresponding DNS entries

I am in the process of switching over to name-based virtual hosting. I Know how to configure Apache for this, but my question is more about how the DNS (both foward and reverse will be effected).

I know that for the forward DNS, there will be records pointing
www.domain1.com to 1.2.3.4
www.domain2.com to 1.2.3.4
www.domain3.com to 1.2.3.4 and so on..

I am concerned about the reverse PTR records. From what I understand, you can not have multiple PTR records for the same IP.. Is this true?

If I can't reverse map 1.2.3.4 to all domains, will sending e-mail to me@domain1.com fail due to reverse lookup not find 1.2.3.4 pointing to domain1??

Thanks for the help.

Roba
