Question nagios newbie - how to add a host in webinterface?

Hi all

I am new to Nagios, just installed it on Kubuntu 7.04.
As I understand, Nagios works with a web frontend.
Now I am at a total loss where to add a host to monitor.
Is it just me not seeing it or is there really no function to add a host to be monitored in the webinterface?

Shame on that, I thought I remember looking at it some years ago and thought that it has promise. Unfortunately, I don't see why a GUI focused monitoring tool should still require digging down to text based configs, when all the rest is webbased.

Linux really lacks lots of GUIs. I totally prefer configs where things get really really complicated and to be sure a GUI cannot mess up and leave me stranded in an dead end. But the learning curve and the effort to get into another text config file convention layout...

Well, I guess I am complaining because I just want to monitor a subnet for hosts (scan for one that are up) and specific ones and don't see why this needs to be so complicated.
