Nagios monitor /dev/sdxx disks

Hi - Can someone help me on how I can monitor my other disks in Nagios? I have /dev/sdc1, /dev/sdd1 and /dev/sde1 that I want to check disk space availability through Nagios. Please kindly advise. Cheers - DB

what kind of advise? Given a functional nagios installation, you'd just use the check_disk plugin, which comes as standard, and is even enabled as standard I believe. There should be nothign that standard existing documentation you should already have read doesn't cover http://www.nagios.com/solutions/disk-monitoring

I have some what the same issue I'm trying to resolve

In my Nagios setup I'm monitoring Linux and Windows drives but only in total which is fine for most instances especially in Windows systems however in some of my Linux machines - looking at the total disk space available is not the complete picture - I have partitions that fill up rather quickly and will cause applications to crash without triggering an alarm. Now I have thought about lowering the percentages on those systems which is half a$$ way to do it. I've played with modifying the check disk command set to look at a particular partition which does not work given my limited Linux experience so does anyone have a real solution or procedure for monitoring a linux partition in my case it is /T43.

now again being a novice in linux when I run a df -k on the system I get /T43 with the space statistics - that is what I'm looking to monitor in detail on Nagios since the rest of the disk is pretty much at 40 % utilization.

For the rest of my servers the out of the box check_disk works just fine but with one or two of my fleet I need much more granular detail.
