Question MySQL Workbench

Hi,
I am using openSUSE 10.2 and trying to install MySQL Workbench (Alpha) but after resolving many dependency issues now have the below message when using ./configure:
checking for ../mysql-gui-common/library/base-library... yes
checking for mysql_config... no
configure: error: Could not find mysql_config script. Make sure the mysql client libraries are installed

Ideas on a solution?

Did you install mysql by source or RPM? You may want to see if there is an RPM for WorkBench rather than installing by source.
