MySQL command line

Hey there mates,

Ok yet another potenitially stoopid question here - but I gotta ask.

I have Apache, MYSQL/PHP running [of course]. I noticed an error with one of my queries, and wanted to get the mysql command line to edit - but alas - I can't seem to get into it.

Could someone please give me the proper commands to get into the mysql command line so I can test and play around with the DB.

mysql -u (username) -p

This will prompt you for your password.

Then

use Database;
select ...

The select can be multiple lines trggered by the final semi-colon.

The DB is MYSQL

I would read the docs on www.mysql.com about adding and granting privileges. It's quite good
