Unhappy my folder turned into a single file!! how to recover?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
something strange has happened with my netbook eee pc 1008Ha on Ubuntu 9.04.

I downloaded a couple of videos under a directory called "Travel". I removed them from my camera. Now when I restarted the machine and looked for the videos there is only one single file called as "Travel".

Code:
$ ls -la Travel
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1042851840 2009-07-04 18:32 Travel
this should ideally be a directory containing the 2 videos! Please help me recovering the videos ...

I downloaded the videos using F-Spot Photo Manager. Could there be a possibility that it downloaded all the videos in a single file called "Travel" and not under a directory? in that case, how do I recover. I can't play that file anyway!

Please help me folks

Not sure about F-spot and what it did to your files, but you might be able to recover them from the camera memory using Photorec. All you did was mark the space as "free" on the camera card. So as long as no new photos or video have overwritten those locations on the card, they should still be there.
