Unhappy my CD-RW or CD-RW drive has a "malformed URL"

I just tried to write to a blank CD-RW, but MEPIS wouldn't write, saying "Malformed URL." It did not specify whether the disc or the drive had the malformed URL, but what how can I correct that?

What program are you using to burn the CD? Play around with the configuration and see if you can find where it specifies the device, and change it accordingly (ie: /dev/cdrw0 if that's where the device is).
