" mutt " Email client questions?

1) I want to setup my mutt to read & send email using IMAP email. Can anybody give me some sample config file @ URL that I can go & read.

2) When I read my IMAP mail using email client like Mozilla @ Syhpleed, I can see all folder (ie:- INDOX, SEND, TRASH) inside my IMAP email automatic, can mutt do this as well?

3) Lastly...I have read a article that said mutt can be use to read others email format like " maildir, mbox, MH, etc ". Can anybody explaine to me what is maildir, mbox & MH?

1) http://mutt.sourceforge.net/imap/

2) You can use mutt to browse through IMAP folders. All the folders that are there should be displayed properly.

3) Different mail clients store saved mails in different ways. mbox is the standard (whatever that means) and is used by the mail prgram and by elm (I think). It stores all the mails as one big file. I'm not sure how maildir works. MH is the format used by mh and nmh. Each mail is stored as a seperate file. The files are named 1, 2, 3, 4, ... I used to use mh religiously until I started using mutt. I found that scanning through the individual files looking for something was slower than scanning through one big file.

HTH,

Robert
