I'm looking for a multimedia distro that can edit and encode audio and video out of the box.
I've tried Dyne:bolic but it has no usb support.
I currently have Fedora Core 2 and tried installing multimedia apps, but kept getting compiling errors--getting kind of frustrated with FC2 anyway, so it's time to change distro's.
So does anyone have any suggestions?
Gentoo is all about versatility. It will take you some time to install, but when you have the basic installation completed (not scary as it comes with a nice step by step documentation), you will be able to install the programs you wish to use with no roblems at all and none of your work, worrying why it won't compile or install. In gentoo, programs install for you, not by you )
I would like to try Gentoo just as soon as the have easier install.
I've been to thier web site and read the doc's---ahh no, I won't be using Gentoo
any time soon.
