Multi Media presentations like MS Producer

I've been creating multi media presentations using Microsoft Producer and Microsoft PowerPoint, combining Video, or Audio, with PowerPoint files to create an HTML based multimedia presentation.

My problem is MS Producer creates Internet Explorer centric HTML, CSS and Javascript.

What I am looking for is a FOSS application that can do the same thing, and, naturally, create generic HTML, CSS and javascript, making the presentations work in at least IE and Firefox.

Before anyone suggests OpenOffice.org Impress, OO.o Impress does not create the sort of multimedia presentations that I am being asked to create.

Does anyone know of a FOSS application that can create MS Producer style presentations, or baring that a FOSS tool that will enable me to parse the Producer created files and clean them up.

Regards

Tracy Barlow
