MSI (Micro Star) Motherboards

Anyone here using MSI motherboards. The manufacturer's name doesn't show in RED Hats list of compatability, so I was weary whether I should buy this motherboard.

Does anyone know if this mother is not compatible with linux? To be exact, the model of MSI motherboard I was interested in was the MSI M6368L (VIA Chipset).

Is the compatabilty list at RH website pretty up to date?

Is Linux picky about which motherboard you use?

not picky about motherboards, onboard sound/video adapters can sometimes be difficult.

so I should be ok buying this MSI motherboard... the thing is it has onboard video and sound. I'm probably sure to run into problems there, aren't I if I choose to use the onboard stuff...

the newer distro releases do a better job of hardware detection, (more recent kernel, newer version of the xserver, etc.) the sound shouldn't be a problem, and the trident blade video adapter will work, but you may want to upgrade to the latest version of xfree86 if performance is an issue. the onboard modems are almost always controllerless (winmodem), don't even bother trying to configure it.
