mplayer intall problems

I have just installed mplayer without any errors popping up, I used the README and followed it exactly. I extracted the Skin, fonts and Codecs as it told me in the README. Here is the error I get when I run gmplayer (i did ./configure --enable-gui on install)

any thoughts

it turns out it was a simple matter of putting all the skin stuff into Skin/default, which I had to make and the README didn't mention.

i think this problem is fixed in the more recent versions
