mp3 players with linux (as in the portable handheld device type)
i am currently considering which mp3 player to buy myself for christmas. a major par of my decision will be how well i can use my linux (fedora) computer to add, remove, and manage songs etc.
the two i am most closely consdering buying right now are the rio forge ( http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/sho....asp?model=265 ) and iriver ifp-795 ( http://www.iriveramerica.com/products/iFP-795.aspx ) (with usb mass storage firmware upgrade) if anyone has had any experiences with any fairly recent player (previously mentioned or otherwise) under linux. id love to hear any comentary you might have. |
as long as it is recognized as a Usb Mass Storage Device it will work perfectly under linux. so i'd say go with the iRiver
