MP3 Player for Red Hat 9

Now that XMMS doesn't do MP3, is there something else that does?
I found SnackAmp, and while it plays everything I want, it's a bit fiddly to use and tends to be a little bit unstable a lot.
Is there a codec or whatever that I can install to get XMMS playing MP3s, or is there an alternative package out there?

Cheers!

Music Player Daemon is very nice!

http://musicpd.org/

It is very handy, stable, and consumes a tiny amount of resources. Plus, you can stream it to another device in a home network. You have multiple options to use as your frontend, also.

To give functionality back to XMMS in Red Hat, check out this link: http://www.gurulabs.com/goodies/downloads.php

I like xine, which can play video, dvds, and music. Binary packages can be found at http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/ . Make sure to download the w32codec package in addition to libxine and xine-ui.
