Thumbs up mp3 files don't play in xmms

When I load an mp3 files, it just acts like nothing has happened. Why? I installed the RPM from the xmms website, not the Red Hat version.

No, where's that?

I installed the RPM for mpg123 and it loads the file, but it plays an entire song in like 5 seconds ... I watch the time on xmms fly like "we have entered hyperspace captian" ...

There's some glitch going on, maybe it's because I run an athlon?

I downloaded and installed the plugin, mpg123, to play mp3 files and it doesn't function properly.

Alright!!! That mp3 sounds great!! Yup, you caught me using the wrong kind of output ... not the disk writer, but it was still wrong. I'm typing this post playing my favorite song very lightly at 1:19 AM ... lol. Thanks all, I'm estatic!! I can play my mp3s!!!
