The mobile market and Linux
One other short post - I know I must be wearing out my welcome in that regard. The future, I think, for computing is tied into portable, mobile devices, whether phones, watches, slim laptops, tablets, or whatever small thing comes up next. I think most desktop Linux systems have come to the forefront for great desktop/laptop environments, and for most current Linux users, that fits the bill. But for the future of open software / Linux, the OS needs to expand into the phone/watch/pod/pad markets. Even the major corporations are worrying about all of this. As mentioned previously by 33Nicolas, you go to an Apple store, their main market is to young 20-somethings wanting iPhones/iPads/iWatches, not iMacs or MacBook whatevers. Anyway, food for thought. Cheers.
