mouse hangs?

hello,

i've got a microsoft intelli mouse explorer and mandrake 9.1

now my problem:

the mouse works really fine, but when i start the mandrake control center, and click on an icon, and dont put my hand of the mouse and move it a bit, it can happen, that the mouse hangs until a reboot.

all the other time (without manddrake control center) it works without any problems like this.....

what driver are you using? i would recommend using IMPS/2 driver in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (make a backup first)

is it a serial or ps2 mouse? ive had problems w/ ps2, but my serial mouse works fine.

its a usb mouse.......im using the intelli explorer drivers....but tried out any others

which protocol are you using in your XF86Config file? Try imps/2
