mouse config
Okay, I am very new to linux. I need to know how to reconfigure x, specificly my mouse. I just installed Slackware 8 on a 166 K5 and I am using a serial mouse and I used the standard microsoft serial mouse driver but when I went into x as soon as I touch the mouse it went into the top right conder and wouldn't move. This mouse worked fine when I was using Windows and when using the QNX floppy demo. So, am I using the wrong driver? If so which one do I use?

to reconfigure X, type xf86config at the command. for your mouse, you could try a generic mouse driver and not the microsoft driver.
|
just to add on to trickykid, i always use a generic driver for my mouse no matter what brand the mouse actually is
|
Okay, I'll try that. I will let you know if it dosn't work, thanks.

still having problems...
Well, first off their is no generic serial mouse option. So I tried the bus and ps2 drivers with no luck. Any more suggestions?
